ICA San Diego Offers Youth Summer Camps in Encinitas and Balboa Park

Several Registration Discounts Available

SAN DIEGO, CA (February 23rd, 2023)- The Institute of Contemporary Art San Diego (ICA San Diego) will offer youth camps at its two locations in Encinitas and Balboa Park this summer. Registration is underway with discounted enrollment through the end of February and limited scholarships available. Bundle and sibling discounts will also be granted. The weeklong camps are designed to promote mental health through outdoor exploration and inspire creativity under the guidance of a teaching artist.

Children ages five through 17 will have the opportunity to see art and be inspired by working artists on view in ICA San Diego galleries. They are invited to develop their creativity in a museum setting through one-of-a-kind project-based camps. The young artists will also have the opportunity to explore various art materials, acquire new art-making techniques, and develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a small-group setting.

Each summer, ICA San Diego hosts six sessions of camps offering different art experiences based on current art trends. Beyond progressing in their art, students spend time outdoors either exploring Balboa Park at ICA San Diego / Central or discovering the six acres of natural preserve at ICA San Diego / North. They will also meet new friends and leave each day with lifelong memories.
