We will cover all the basics, such as centering the clay, creating cylinders, making bowls and plates. As well as decorating and finishing the pieces by carving, painting, and glazing. Looking forward to meeting you all!

About the teacher:
Hello friends! My name is Max Anderson. I am 24 years of age and live in Encinitas, CA. I am currently a student at Mira Costa Community College studying graphic design. I have been doing pottery for about 8 years now. I took my first ceramics class in high school at San Dieguito Academy. I fell in love with clay, specifically working on the pottery wheel, in an instant. Some of the skills I have learned as a potter are patience, flexibility, and challenging myself to try new things. I will be teaching the beginner/intermediate wheel throwing class here at ICA San Diego.
