In this six week class students ages 13-17 will begin by learning the basics, focusing on 3 essential steps of the throwing process: centering, opening, and pulling. Students will be led in working with ceramics, hand-building and wheel throwing, learning slab construction, pinch pots, surface texture, clay impression and more.
All materials are included.

Instructor Bio:
Meg T. Walker is a ceramicist and multi-medium based artist hailing from Breckenridge, Colorado. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in ceramics from Slippery Rock University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Whether helping build a kiln in Texas, collecting clay from the river banks of Pennsylvania, or studying the vibrant colors and techniques of mosaics in Morocco, Meg strives to pull inspiration from the world around her and cultivate a relationship with the environment and one another through art. Meg is jazzed to share her passion for ceramics with all!
