Wheel Throwing: Form & Function (Sarurdays - Fall #2 - 2026)

This six-week wheel throwing class explores the relationship between form and function through hands-on practice and individual guidance. Students will work on developing and refining thrown forms while exploring functional pottery such as bowls, cups, plates, vases, and more.

Techniques may include throwing, trimming, adding handles and feet, and refining the proportions and details of functional forms.

This class is open to a range of experience levels. Students will work at their own level and have the opportunity to pursue projects that support their individual goals and interests.

Some previous wheel throwing experience is recommended.

Ages: 16+ 

Time: 11AM–2PM

Dates: Saturday–November 7, 14, 21, December 5, 12, and 19 (Skipping November 28)

Tuition: Non-member $365, General membership and above $328.50 (Please use discount code: ICAMEMBERSAVE at checkout)

Materials Fee: $28 to be charged on the first day of class with credit/debit (no member discount on materials fee)

Note that all classes are subject to minimum enrollment. Enrolling early prevents classes from being canceled, and ensures your placement in them!

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancel up to 7 days before the start of class for a full refund. Cancellations less than 7 days before the start of class are ineligible for refund.

Because practice makes progress, all students receive FREE LAB ACCESS at the ICA Ceramics Lab for the duration of the class. More information to follow!
